We are a retired couple who recently took up over landing in Florida! After looking at many different brands, we decided to go with OVSs TMBK 3 rooftop tent as it had all the features we were looking for while still remaining lightweight. We received the tent from California and all the packaging was in great shape, but we were missing a few pieces of hardware. We wanted to use it right away, so we purchased some bolts and parts locally and put the tent together and got it up on the roof of our Subaru Crosstrek! It went up nicely and we took it camping! We loved the flow through ventilation and even had to lower one outer door flap as it got a little too breezy! Better than not enough breeze though! We enjoyed using our tent and look forward to our next outing! By the way, the shipping company was great and the delivery guy was awesome! We are so excited to finally be enjoying our retirement this way! Thank you Overland Vehicle Systems!
This is an awesome RTT. Very easy to set up and customer service is fantastic. Its perfect for 2 people, 3 people will fit, but they would have to be really, really good friends. A big plus is its less expensive than any other RTT and every bit the exact, actually better quality.
So last year, I spent 7+ weeks living out of my SUV with my rooftop tent. It was AMAZING! I traveled from Washington, all through Utah National Parks, to the Grand Canyon, and back home via Yosemite. I'm 5'5" on a good day and with a 2-step stool, had no problem putting the tent up or down by myself (though I did upgrade to a 3-step for this summer). I was in torrential rain and some bad windstorms and it held strong! I got up one morning to see everyone else's tents torn, toppled, etc. and mine was great sitting on my car. Once we hit hotter weather, I left the rain fly off and we enjoyed the night sky as well as the extra ventilation that afforded. I'm heading out for a 3+ month trip in just a few weeks. For a single woman, this is the best way to travel - easy to set up and down, easy to drive with, and not too small or too big. Along with the pop-up privacy tent that Overland has, I personally think I have one of the best setups in the park usually. I can't tell you how many people stop to check mine out and it really has come to feel like a second home - maybe even better than being at home because there are less chores to worry about!
Overall experience with this company and shipping was good. We just returned from our first camp out with this tent and we are very impressed. The tent rode well on my Xterra and set up was about 20 minutes. Roomier then expected and the mattress was good. I purchased the Overland led lights and they are bright yet dim able. Dont know about longevity but for now, I dont see why you would need a more expensive rtt.
Shipping was fast, no damage from shipping, and install was quick and easy with 2 people. Quality is awesome for the price. Compared to my friends CVT tent, this is a little thinner, overall lighter, and the mattress isnt quite as nice. But for the price it cant be beat! Highly recommend!!

Although it took a little extra time the delay very of my OVS Truck Topper was great. Good price too!

Fully engaged with customer, helped me get the crossbar I needed on time!

Product worked out great for my rack setup.

Order was delayed due to manufacturer delays, but my questions were answered and expectations on timing reset along the way. Cross bars were in perfect condition and work great!

I was in the market for a 3/4 length roof rack for my 4Runner as I wanted an upgrade from the OEM rails but still wanted to retain a somewhat OEM look. I am very happy that I went with the Sherpa Needle. It is a high quality rack with the best install method out of all the racks I looked at. I like that it is designed so you don’t have to deal with a mess of silicone when mounting. It is also nice that the fairing sits just above the roof instead of resting on it so that the paint does not get scratched. I was worried about wind noise because of this but I am happy to say there is no added wind noise at all.
I am also glad I purchased this rack through Live More Outside. I shopped around and they had the best pricing considering I was able to get a discount code, shipping was free, and they don’t charge sales tax. Shipping was prompt and I received the rack sooner than I thought I would.
Overall I am very pleased with this purchase and I will definitely come back to Live More Outside as I continue to build my rig.

By far one of the best customer service! Nathan has been a huge help on any questions and quick to respond! Live more outside is top notch. We are getting ready to hit our first outing with our new RTT. Cant wait to test it out. We also just purchased a 270 awning. I found one on another website but wanted to keep my business with live more outside. Nathan price matched and beat their price! We will continue to keep our business with this company!

The tent was delivered in a crate, seems to have been protected well and there was no damage to it at all. No missing parts or anything like that. The fabric seems heavy duty and operates as expected. The mattress is better than expected. I like how the rainfly poles fit as it doesn't hit my cab when installed. super happy with the purchase.

I emailed with concerns of tracking info and the owner emailed me back immediately. He eso always quick to respond and even updated me with when the package was confirmed to be in transit.
I shoooed for my roof top tent for weeks I was lucky to find that live more outside had a reduced price in too of an end of the year sale for the exact model tent I was considering. LMO neat everyone’s price. Highly recommend.

I ordered the Alpha rack for my Silverado, I had been searching for a low profile rack that would fit my topper and provide a little less drag with my tent. This came with all the hardware to customize the hight and was relatively easy to set up and install on my truck.
It looks good, has room for upgrades and lights down the road as needed and functions perfect with the RTT. Could not be happier.

Needed to order a new tent for a preplanned outting after mine was stolen. Upon order, I expressed my need to receive the item in a timely manner and Nathan took that personally!! Received the tent in perfect condition and on time to make it out with my group! Appreciate the support as well as the competitive pricing offered.

I'd been searching for a couple years for an RTT and when I came across the Ursa 1300, I knew it was exactly what I was looking for! It's proven to be just that! Excellent quality, very quick and easy to put up and take down, and roomy enough for my family of 3 to sleep comfortably. I also love the skylight in this tent. It makes stargazing easy! I would highly recommend...you won't be disappointed!

Nathan with Live More Outside was great in recommending this mid-height rack to support my new Ironman 4x4 Ursa 1300 RTT! The price could not be beat for the extremely high quality! It's extremely customizable, too, with attachment points everywhere to add on your extras! I highly recommend!

I had been looking at 270 awnings for awhile when all of sudden OVS's Nomadic 270 XD awning popped in my search. The awning wasnt released yet, but OVS is a highly reviewed company that makes quality parts and carries a solid warranty, so I decided to pre-order one from live more outside and take my chances. I mean, the XD awning has a lifetime frame warranty. That is pretty stellar. 6 years on the fabric. What the fabric this is made out of is definitely different than any other rooftop awning I've ever seen. Zero light gets through this material that I've been able to detect. It's pretty amazing.
Install was easy and fairly straight forward, took me about 45 minutes to an hour to get the brackets mounted to the awning and the awning mounted where I wanted it, by myself. However, I'm a big dude that is mechanically inclined. I probably wouldn't suggest just anyone attempt to mount this by yourself unless you are competent that you can handle this length and weight of an object from below it or off to the side while standing on a tire or some such. You could quite possible drop this off the side of your roof rack.
I used stainless m8x25 T slot studs that I have by the dozens for every connection point instead of the hex hardware that was provided. There is twice as much contact surface available on them for grip of the roof rack and they slide much better than hex bolts in the track. Of note, 16mm and 20mm lengths are too short for a washer, a lock washer and the nylok nut if you are replacing the stock hardware with T slot studs. 25mm is what you want.
The awning I received came with three mounting brackets. I'm sure three would have been fine, really two would probably be fine, but my tendency to overkill everything prevailed and I ordered an extra set of brackets (which came with everything by the way; 2 nrackets, stakes, tie down rope, all hardware, locking tie downs for the awning edges to secure to the roof rack) so that the awning is attached to my roofrack by 4 brackets.
Deployment is simple. Rolling it up to put it away is fairly simple as well. Zipping up the bag without some piece of flap of the awning getting stuck in the zipper is a bit ridiculous, and the zipper seems to be a bit off when the two come together, like it wasnt zipped properly from the factory. You've gotta roll this thing up TIGHT to begin with, as there is not alot of room in the cover. Fighting not letting some part be zipped up is super unfortunate. You just have to keep your fingers up there, right in front of the zipper, making sure nothing gets in the way, while you pull on it with the other hand. All while trying to squeeze the zipper sides together so you can actually zip it shut. Thus is definitely the worst part, but I'm sure I'll get a better handle on it (hopefully).
You will also want to ensure that you have all of the velcro enclosures closed around the awning arms. Mine did not come attached (other than one on each arm that holds the awning poles) but it's easy to do so. Just a heads up of something needing done when it's brand new.
My experience with Nathan and Live more outside was fantastic. Nathan was always able to provide an update to me as these awnings seemed to be pushed back little by little as far as when they would be released. He was always very responsive and extremely easy to touch base with. All in all, an excellent experience with and excellent vendor for a pretty excellent product (that damn zipper thing). I would definitely make the same choice if I had it to do over again.

Love it, looks amazing, very functional!

I've only had it a little over a month so far and is holding up great on my 3rd Gen Tacoma. The material is relatively thin metal with a sturdy frame. No insulation or heat barrier, so the inside does get hot. Solid build for under $3k after professional installation. Will report back after putting a rack and tent on it, plus seeing some weather.
