PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The M3 Heritage Damascus Bowie Knife – Stacked Leather Handle & Sheath combines classic field-knife styling with patterned steel and traditional leather craftsmanship. Measuring approximately 15 inches overall, this handcrafted fixed-blade knife features a substantial 10-inch Damascus steel blade, a compressed stacked-leather handle, a curved metal guard, and a hand-tooled brown leather belt sheath.
Heritage-inspired Bowie styling
The M3 Heritage takes inspiration from classic military and field-knife handle construction while retaining the larger proportions and flowing profile of a Bowie knife. The result is a distinctive collector design that balances traditional materials with bold patterned steel.
Its stacked-leather grip, curved guard, metal pommel, and brown sheath create a vintage presentation. The 15-inch overall length gives the knife an imposing presence for display and collection.
The “M3 Heritage” name should be treated as a style designation rather than a claim that the knife is an original historic military-issued M3 model.
Patterned Damascus steel blade
The centerpiece of this Bowie is its 10-inch Damascus steel blade. Flowing layered lines travel along the cutting edge, while circular and organic formations appear across the upper blade face.
This combination creates a visually complex pattern with strong contrast. Every Damascus blade develops differently, so the exact arrangement of waves, rings, and layered markings may vary from the product photograph.
These pattern differences are a natural characteristic of handcrafted Damascus steel and help give every knife an individual appearance.
Long clip-point profile
The blade uses an elongated clip-point Bowie profile with a defined point and gently curved cutting edge. Its long proportions produce a clean, traditional silhouette while providing ample surface area for the Damascus pattern.
A defined ricasso forms the transition into the guard. The patterned blade face, straight spine, and gradual taper toward the tip create an attractive balance between the historic grip style and collector-size Bowie blade.
Stacked-leather handle
The handle is formed from individual leather sections compressed around the tang. These layers create the visible rings and warm brown tones associated with traditional stacked-leather knife handles.
Dark and reddish-brown shades alternate throughout the grip, giving the handle a naturally aged appearance. The cylindrical profile is shaped with subtle contours that follow the hand.
Stacked leather has long been used on traditional outdoor and field knives because of its comfortable texture and classic appearance. With appropriate care, the surface develops additional character over time.
Natural leather can vary in shade, grain, thickness, and compression. Small differences between individual handles should be expected.
Curved metal guard and pommel
A curved metal guard separates the blade from the leather grip. Its swept profile complements the blade while maintaining the heritage-inspired appearance.
A metal pommel cap completes the rear of the handle and helps frame the stacked-leather sections. The understated fittings allow the blade pattern and leather rings to remain the primary visual features.
Hand-tooled leather belt sheath
The M3 Heritage includes a brown leather sheath with decorative tooling, stitched edges, an extended belt loop, and a snap-retention strap.
The sheath follows the shape of the Bowie blade and provides covered storage. Its warm brown color coordinates naturally with the stacked-leather handle, creating a complete traditional presentation.
Because leather is a natural material, individual sheaths may vary slightly in color, grain, tooling depth, stitching, and markings.
Designed for collectors
The M3 Heritage is an appealing choice for Damascus Bowie collectors, historic field-knife enthusiasts, outdoorsmen, and buyers who appreciate traditional leather handles.
Its combination of patterned Damascus steel, stacked leather, classic metal fittings, and a handcrafted sheath makes it an attractive display piece. The complete set can also make a memorable gift for birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, holidays, Father’s Day, and other special occasions.
Optional personalized engraving
Where adequate surface space is available, custom engraving may be added to the blade or leather sheath. Suitable options include names, initials, dates, service details, ranch names, or short commemorative messages.
Final engraving placement and size depend on the requested design and the available surface. Do not use protected military insignia or trademarks without appropriate authorization.
Blade and handle care
Clean and completely dry the Damascus blade after handling or use. Apply a light coat of suitable knife oil or food-safe mineral oil before storage, particularly in humid conditions.
Avoid leaving moisture, fingerprints, salt, or acidic substances on the steel. During extended storage, keep the knife outside its leather sheath because leather can retain moisture.
Keep the stacked-leather handle dry and away from excessive heat. Apply a compatible leather conditioner sparingly when needed. Condition the sheath separately and store both pieces in a cool, dry environment.

I'm very pleased with this tent after having it for two years I've been in the rain I've been in the snow and it's held up pretty good but the cover that covers it did not hold up that good but the tent is perfect
Really enjoy the awning. Easy setup and got a little rain on the first trip. Easy to adjust for the run off. Very happy with the purchase!
I am one of the earliest customers Astrodome, I bought it and didn’t set it up for almost a year. By the time we set it up, we were blown away by the beauty of this space we purchased it on a mountain ledge in our glamping retreat in Lake County California two hours north of San as much as I love this space there are definitely some challenges with it in our location. It might work better than other locations, but we have had problems with the stakes, slipping and collapsing in the ground beneath and with the prevailing winds, it did stay up and it stays dry, even in tornadoes, but because the wind hits it from One Direction coming from the coast, this is definitely been a challenge for us we are going to try adding some weight inside it. The guests absolutely love this space keep in mind that with those skylights it’s going to get hot in the summertime but what’s nice is in the winter. It heats up almost passive solar. it’s also wonderful with a woodstove. A very cost effective alternative to a geodesic dome! If you want to experience it stay in ours, on Hipcamp.
I bought one of these at Scheels and absolutely love it. Great design, has everything you would ever need in a first aid/trauma/survival kit. Have one in all of my vehicles now. These guys truly thought of everything
A complete coverage of possibilities for my project and needs.
I love my new tent stove. Costumer service was also attentive and great to work with. Thank you.
The mounts work perfect with the truck bed rack I have on. Thank you for the excellent line of communication. You guys never kept me in the dark. I will ordering from you guys again.
I was wondering if you are able to sell just two extra mounts or do they just come in a set of six.
The color was even better in person. For well, looks well made and was easy to fold up and put into the carrying case. There was a bunch of colored plastic pieces from manufacturing on the mat, but I was able to vacuum it right up so be careful pulling it out.
Although it took a little extra time the delay very of my OVS Truck Topper was great. Good price too!
Fully engaged with customer, helped me get the crossbar I needed on time!
Product worked out great for my rack setup.
Order was delayed due to manufacturer delays, but my questions were answered and expectations on timing reset along the way. Cross bars were in perfect condition and work great!
I was in the market for a 3/4 length roof rack for my 4Runner as I wanted an upgrade from the OEM rails but still wanted to retain a somewhat OEM look. I am very happy that I went with the Sherpa Needle. It is a high quality rack with the best install method out of all the racks I looked at. I like that it is designed so you don’t have to deal with a mess of silicone when mounting. It is also nice that the fairing sits just above the roof instead of resting on it so that the paint does not get scratched. I was worried about wind noise because of this but I am happy to say there is no added wind noise at all.
I am also glad I purchased this rack through Live More Outside. I shopped around and they had the best pricing considering I was able to get a discount code, shipping was free, and they don’t charge sales tax. Shipping was prompt and I received the rack sooner than I thought I would.
Overall I am very pleased with this purchase and I will definitely come back to Live More Outside as I continue to build my rig.
By far one of the best customer service! Nathan has been a huge help on any questions and quick to respond! Live more outside is top notch. We are getting ready to hit our first outing with our new RTT. Cant wait to test it out. We also just purchased a 270 awning. I found one on another website but wanted to keep my business with live more outside. Nathan price matched and beat their price! We will continue to keep our business with this company!
