PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Blue Cross Wirecut Skinner Knife carries real meaning in its blade design. Three cross shapes are cut directly through the Damascus steel near the tip. This detail turns a working skinner into a personal, symbolic piece.
At 7 inches overall, this knife feels balanced and easy to control. The blade is forged from wood-grain Damascus steel with a raw natural finish. A blue and cream resin handle pairs with a tan wood accent strip.
This skinner works well as a rugged outdoor tool and a meaningful collectible. Anyone drawn to faith-based symbolism paired with real function will appreciate this blade. It carries personal meaning beyond its everyday cutting purpose.
Blue Cross Wirecut Skinner Knife at JW Steel Crafts with a blue resin and wood handle and leather lanyard cord.
The History Behind This Blue Cross Wirecut Skinner Knife
Skinner blades have long served hunters who need precision for hide work. Damascus steel carries centuries of forging history valued for strength and pattern. Cross symbolism has long held meaning across many cultures and traditions. JW Steel Crafts brings all three elements together in this forged blade design.
Blade Performance
Wood grain Damascus steel is folded repeatedly during forging to build strength. This process creates strong edge retention needed for repeated field tasks. The drop point shape gives control for detailed cuts near joints and hide.
Full tang construction runs through the handle for lasting balance and strength. The forged cutout does not weaken the surrounding blade structure. Keep the blade dry and lightly oiled to protect the pattern over time.
The three cutout crosses sit in a reinforced section shaped during forging. This keeps the blade fully functional while adding personal, symbolic detail. Function and meaning work together rather than competing for space on the blade. This balance makes the design as practical as it is personal.
Handle Construction
The blue and cream resin section adds bold, swirled color to the grip. A tan wood strip runs alongside the resin for natural contrast and texture. A leather lanyard cord attaches at the butt end for added carry security.
Resin resists moisture better than many natural handle materials used elsewhere. This makes the knife practical for wet field conditions and repeated cleaning. The full tang keeps the handle stable and secure during hands-on use.
Each resin and wood pairing varies slightly once cast and finished. This means no two Blue Cross Wirecut Skinner knives will look identical. That natural variation adds to the personal feel of each piece.
Best Used For
This skinner works well for hunting, hide work, and everyday field tasks. Its cross-cutout design also makes it a strong collector's item for symbolic blade enthusiasts. It works as a meaningful gifting option for anyone who values faith and craftsmanship. Many buyers choose this piece to mark a personal milestone.
Order the Blue Cross Wirecut Skinner Knife today. Each blade is individually forged, so cutout placement varies slightly piece to piece.

I'm very pleased with this tent after having it for two years I've been in the rain I've been in the snow and it's held up pretty good but the cover that covers it did not hold up that good but the tent is perfect
Really enjoy the awning. Easy setup and got a little rain on the first trip. Easy to adjust for the run off. Very happy with the purchase!
I am one of the earliest customers Astrodome, I bought it and didn’t set it up for almost a year. By the time we set it up, we were blown away by the beauty of this space we purchased it on a mountain ledge in our glamping retreat in Lake County California two hours north of San as much as I love this space there are definitely some challenges with it in our location. It might work better than other locations, but we have had problems with the stakes, slipping and collapsing in the ground beneath and with the prevailing winds, it did stay up and it stays dry, even in tornadoes, but because the wind hits it from One Direction coming from the coast, this is definitely been a challenge for us we are going to try adding some weight inside it. The guests absolutely love this space keep in mind that with those skylights it’s going to get hot in the summertime but what’s nice is in the winter. It heats up almost passive solar. it’s also wonderful with a woodstove. A very cost effective alternative to a geodesic dome! If you want to experience it stay in ours, on Hipcamp.
I bought one of these at Scheels and absolutely love it. Great design, has everything you would ever need in a first aid/trauma/survival kit. Have one in all of my vehicles now. These guys truly thought of everything
A complete coverage of possibilities for my project and needs.
I love my new tent stove. Costumer service was also attentive and great to work with. Thank you.
The mounts work perfect with the truck bed rack I have on. Thank you for the excellent line of communication. You guys never kept me in the dark. I will ordering from you guys again.
I was wondering if you are able to sell just two extra mounts or do they just come in a set of six.
The color was even better in person. For well, looks well made and was easy to fold up and put into the carrying case. There was a bunch of colored plastic pieces from manufacturing on the mat, but I was able to vacuum it right up so be careful pulling it out.
Although it took a little extra time the delay very of my OVS Truck Topper was great. Good price too!
Fully engaged with customer, helped me get the crossbar I needed on time!
Product worked out great for my rack setup.
Order was delayed due to manufacturer delays, but my questions were answered and expectations on timing reset along the way. Cross bars were in perfect condition and work great!
I was in the market for a 3/4 length roof rack for my 4Runner as I wanted an upgrade from the OEM rails but still wanted to retain a somewhat OEM look. I am very happy that I went with the Sherpa Needle. It is a high quality rack with the best install method out of all the racks I looked at. I like that it is designed so you don’t have to deal with a mess of silicone when mounting. It is also nice that the fairing sits just above the roof instead of resting on it so that the paint does not get scratched. I was worried about wind noise because of this but I am happy to say there is no added wind noise at all.
I am also glad I purchased this rack through Live More Outside. I shopped around and they had the best pricing considering I was able to get a discount code, shipping was free, and they don’t charge sales tax. Shipping was prompt and I received the rack sooner than I thought I would.
Overall I am very pleased with this purchase and I will definitely come back to Live More Outside as I continue to build my rig.
By far one of the best customer service! Nathan has been a huge help on any questions and quick to respond! Live more outside is top notch. We are getting ready to hit our first outing with our new RTT. Cant wait to test it out. We also just purchased a 270 awning. I found one on another website but wanted to keep my business with live more outside. Nathan price matched and beat their price! We will continue to keep our business with this company!
