PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Built for customers who appreciate traditional materials, distinctive Damascus craftsmanship, and practical outdoor styling, the Best Bushcraft Damascus Steel Fixed Blade Outdoor Camping Hunting EDC Knife combines a compact field-ready profile with an eye-catching handmade appearance.
Measuring approximately 9 inches overall with a 4-inch Damascus steel blade, this knife offers a balanced size for camping, bushcraft, hunting, outdoor work, ranch use, collecting, and everyday field tasks. It is large enough to provide a confident fixed-blade feel while remaining compact enough for convenient belt carry in its included leather sheath.
The most striking feature is the combination of the patterned Damascus blade with a multi-material handle made from walnut wood, G10 Micarta-style inlay/spacers, and natural bone. These contrasting materials give the knife a distinctive custom appearance that stands apart from ordinary synthetic-handle outdoor knives.
Patterned Damascus Steel Blade
The centerpiece of this knife is its approximately 4-inch Damascus steel blade.
The photograph shows highly visible flowing steel patterns running throughout the blade. These contrasting lines give Damascus steel its recognizable character and mean the blade remains visually interesting from virtually every angle.
Rather than using an overly complicated blade shape, this knife has a broad outdoor-oriented profile with a curved cutting belly and pointed tip. This makes the design visually appropriate for a traditional bushcraft, hunting, camping, and field knife.
The blade also features a pronounced central grind or ridge, adding additional dimension to its appearance.
Because Damascus steel should be cared for properly, we recommend cleaning and completely drying the blade after use. Applying a thin layer of suitable blade oil before longer storage periods can also help protect the steel.
Compact 9-Inch Fixed Blade Design
With an overall length of approximately 9 inches, this model falls into a highly versatile fixed-blade size.
Its proportions combine a 4-inch blade with approximately five inches of handle area, giving the user a substantial gripping section without turning the knife into an unnecessarily oversized field blade.
For buyers who prefer compact outdoor knives over large survival-style designs, this 9-inch configuration provides an attractive middle ground.
Bushcraft & Outdoor Styling
This knife has the visual characteristics customers often look for in a traditional bushcraft fixed blade: a sturdy blade profile, natural handle materials, straightforward construction, and a protective leather belt sheath.
The combination works particularly well for camping setups, outdoor gear collections, ranch environments, hunting equipment, cabin gear, and traditional field kits.
Its natural wood, bone, steel, and leather construction also gives it considerably more heritage character than a conventional mass-produced synthetic outdoor knife.
Walnut Wood Handle
The upper section of the handle features dark walnut wood, providing rich natural grain and warm brown coloration.
Walnut is especially attractive on traditional outdoor knives because it complements both patterned steel and leather.
The handle has been shaped with a gentle ergonomic curve rather than remaining completely straight. The rear section widens slightly toward the butt, creating a classic hunting and bushcraft knife silhouette.
Because walnut is a natural material, variations in grain, shade, and markings are normal and help give individual pieces their own character.
G10 Micarta-Style Inlay & Spacers
Dark G10/Micarta-style detailing creates a visual transition between the walnut and bone portions of the handle.
The black material provides an effective contrast against the lighter bone while separating the two natural materials.
Thin warm-colored spacer lines further accent the construction and create a more refined custom-knife appearance.
Natural Bone Handle Section
A substantial portion of the forward handle incorporates light natural bone, creating one of the strongest visual contrasts on the knife.
The creamy tone sits between the dark walnut and patterned Damascus steel, producing a traditional handcrafted aesthetic.
A decorative mosaic-style pin is positioned within this section, adding a small but distinctive detail to the handle.
As with natural wood, bone can display minor differences in tone, texture, or markings.
Lanyard Hole
A lined lanyard hole is incorporated near the rear of the walnut handle.
This provides an attachment point for an optional leather thong or cord and contributes to the traditional outdoor styling of the knife.
Leather Belt Sheath Included
The knife comes with a fitted brown leather sheath.
The sheath shown in the photograph features substantial edge stitching, a securing strap with snap closure, and an extended belt-carry section.
Leather complements the walnut-and-bone handle particularly well, keeping the entire package consistent with the traditional bushcraft aesthetic.
The sheath protects the cutting edge while the knife is stored or transported and provides convenient belt-carry capability.
Made for the Outdoor Enthusiast
The design brings together several characteristics sought by outdoor knife enthusiasts: a manageable 9-inch overall length, 4-inch patterned blade, natural handle materials, comfortable fixed-blade profile, and leather carry sheath.
This makes it an appealing option for customers interested in camping knives, bushcraft knives, hunting knives, outdoor fixed blades, ranch knives, Damascus collectors, and traditional handcrafted knife designs.
A Distinctive Gift
The combination of Damascus steel, walnut, bone, decorative handle detailing, and leather makes this model especially attractive as a gift.
It can be considered for birthdays, Father's Day, Christmas, anniversaries, retirement gifts, camping enthusiasts, hunters, outdoorsmen, ranchers, or Damascus steel collectors.
Unlike a plain production knife, its mixed natural materials create the visual character customers often associate with custom craftsmanship.
Care & Maintenance
After outdoor use, clean the blade carefully and dry it completely before storage.
For Damascus steel, periodically applying a thin coat of appropriate blade oil can help protect the surface. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or corrosive materials.
Do not leave a damp knife stored inside the leather sheath. Allow both the blade and sheath to dry separately before storage.
The walnut and bone handle should also be protected from prolonged soaking or extreme temperature changes.
Proper care will help preserve the patterned blade, natural handle materials, and leather sheath for years.

I'm very pleased with this tent after having it for two years I've been in the rain I've been in the snow and it's held up pretty good but the cover that covers it did not hold up that good but the tent is perfect
Really enjoy the awning. Easy setup and got a little rain on the first trip. Easy to adjust for the run off. Very happy with the purchase!
I am one of the earliest customers Astrodome, I bought it and didn’t set it up for almost a year. By the time we set it up, we were blown away by the beauty of this space we purchased it on a mountain ledge in our glamping retreat in Lake County California two hours north of San as much as I love this space there are definitely some challenges with it in our location. It might work better than other locations, but we have had problems with the stakes, slipping and collapsing in the ground beneath and with the prevailing winds, it did stay up and it stays dry, even in tornadoes, but because the wind hits it from One Direction coming from the coast, this is definitely been a challenge for us we are going to try adding some weight inside it. The guests absolutely love this space keep in mind that with those skylights it’s going to get hot in the summertime but what’s nice is in the winter. It heats up almost passive solar. it’s also wonderful with a woodstove. A very cost effective alternative to a geodesic dome! If you want to experience it stay in ours, on Hipcamp.
I bought one of these at Scheels and absolutely love it. Great design, has everything you would ever need in a first aid/trauma/survival kit. Have one in all of my vehicles now. These guys truly thought of everything
A complete coverage of possibilities for my project and needs.
I love my new tent stove. Costumer service was also attentive and great to work with. Thank you.
The mounts work perfect with the truck bed rack I have on. Thank you for the excellent line of communication. You guys never kept me in the dark. I will ordering from you guys again.
I was wondering if you are able to sell just two extra mounts or do they just come in a set of six.
The color was even better in person. For well, looks well made and was easy to fold up and put into the carrying case. There was a bunch of colored plastic pieces from manufacturing on the mat, but I was able to vacuum it right up so be careful pulling it out.
Although it took a little extra time the delay very of my OVS Truck Topper was great. Good price too!
Fully engaged with customer, helped me get the crossbar I needed on time!
Product worked out great for my rack setup.
Order was delayed due to manufacturer delays, but my questions were answered and expectations on timing reset along the way. Cross bars were in perfect condition and work great!
I was in the market for a 3/4 length roof rack for my 4Runner as I wanted an upgrade from the OEM rails but still wanted to retain a somewhat OEM look. I am very happy that I went with the Sherpa Needle. It is a high quality rack with the best install method out of all the racks I looked at. I like that it is designed so you don’t have to deal with a mess of silicone when mounting. It is also nice that the fairing sits just above the roof instead of resting on it so that the paint does not get scratched. I was worried about wind noise because of this but I am happy to say there is no added wind noise at all.
I am also glad I purchased this rack through Live More Outside. I shopped around and they had the best pricing considering I was able to get a discount code, shipping was free, and they don’t charge sales tax. Shipping was prompt and I received the rack sooner than I thought I would.
Overall I am very pleased with this purchase and I will definitely come back to Live More Outside as I continue to build my rig.
By far one of the best customer service! Nathan has been a huge help on any questions and quick to respond! Live more outside is top notch. We are getting ready to hit our first outing with our new RTT. Cant wait to test it out. We also just purchased a 270 awning. I found one on another website but wanted to keep my business with live more outside. Nathan price matched and beat their price! We will continue to keep our business with this company!
